The German newspaper Bild, one of Europe’s most widely read papers, has identified who is truly responsible for the suffering in Gaza and who unscrupulously exploits it for their own purposes. The paper is calling for a political de-Nazification of Gaza – as in Germany after 1945.

The images from Gaza are hard to take in. Bullet-riddled homes, starving children, desperate parents – the suffering of civilians is real, deep, and daily. Anyone who does not feel compassion for this has lost all empathy. No one should have to live like this. No child should grow up among ruins. This war must end – the sooner, the better, Bild writes, before presenting ten points it says are forgotten in the debate:

1. Hamas Wants the Population to Starve

When Israel, for the first time since the outbreak of war, delivered food directly to Gaza’s population – without handing the aid over to Hamas – the terrorists and their supporters reacted with hysterical anger, even issuing death threats against anyone who dared accept bread, noodles, and flour.

Why? Because a multimillion-dollar business model was under threat. For decades, Hamas has enriched itself through humanitarian aid, including reselling food at exorbitant prices, thereby financing terrorism – and the wealth of its leaders.

The fact that even UN representatives criticized these food deliveries shows once again how deep their complicity runs.

2. The West Shares the Blame for the Gaza Catastrophe

The West supported Hamas while the terrorists freely turned the coastal strip into a terrorist stronghold. It was no secret that Hamas dug hundreds of kilometers of tunnels and embedded itself in hospitals, preschools, and residential buildings.

And what did Europe do? It continued dutifully transferring billions to aid organizations that either looked the other way or played along. The result: Hamas could calmly prepare for October 7. A humanitarian carte blanche for terrorism.

3. HamasLogic Is: The More Suffering, the Better

The suffering of Palestinian children is Hamas’ most powerful weapon against Israel. That is why the terrorists have dug in among them and used them as human shields – and why they want their own people to starve.

They know how the West works: The greater the suffering of Palestinian civilians, the greater the pressure on Israel. That is precisely why Gaza must be freed from Hamas’ rule.

Does this mean, conversely, that Israel is blameless? Of course not. Can Israel’s military actions and its government be criticized harshly – even very harshly? Yes, absolutely!

Countless Israeli experts and politicians do so, with the difference being that they propose alternatives instead of just pointing fingers from afar. No, Israel does not do everything right. But the difference with Hamas is: Israel actually wants to do the right thing.

4. Those Who Only Demand a Ceasefire” Give Hamas a Breathing Space

Chancellor Friedrich Merz, Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul, and others demand that Israel pause the war. It sounds civilized – but it is cynical. Every pause means Hamas can recover, reorganize, repair tunnels, and plan for the next October 7. That is not a peace strategy but a guarantee for terror.

Those who refuse to see this live in a comfortable bubble. The structures are there, the will to destroy is there, and unfortunately, international naïveté is also there. Without Hamas’ impotence, there will never be a sustainable rebuilding of Gaza, never a life of dignity and prosperity for its people.

And if Israel is not allowed to end this reign of terror from the Palestinian territories, someone else must do it.

5. The West Has No Gaza Plan – Only Demands on Israel

It is easy to demand a ceasefire. Where is the West’s plan for Gaza? What will happen if Israel withdraws? Hamas will remain in power and – as some demand – may even be rewarded for its terror with its own state. What kind of entity would that be? Certainly not a second Riviera, but Kabul on the Mediterranean. Democracy: unwanted. Women’s rights: erased. Coexistence: never.

And no, what is happening in Gaza is not “genocide.” Israel’s goal is not to wipe out Palestinians – but to crush a terrorist organization that has threatened a second Holocaust. Gaza could be like Tel Aviv: modern, open, full of life. Instead, it is a hostage zone controlled by a death cult. By the same Islamism that also kills in Europe and spreads the slogan “The Caliphate is the solution.”

6. Hamas Wins the Information War

The military struggle is only one front. The other is media-based, emotional, and ideological. And on this stage, Hamas is unfortunately the winner. Too many Western media outlets still accept the Hamas-controlled “Ministry of Health” as a source, even though it repeatedly spreads war lies. For every civilian death, Israel is blamed without hesitation, even when there is no evidence – as was recently the case with an alleged Israeli “massacre” outside a relief center.

Since many media outlets even uncritically cite “Hamas civil defense,” it suggests to readers that the Islamist terrorists are protecting their civilians – when in fact the opposite is true. This is a propaganda victory for Hamas.

7. The Hostages – Erased from the Debate

Almost 60 hostages – including Germans – are still in Hamas’ captivity. They are tortured, beaten, and mistreated. And yet, they and the many murdered have almost completely disappeared from the public debate.

For they reveal who started this war – and why Israel is fighting. Hamas barbarians killed baby Kfir Bibas with their bare hands. Hamas beasts murdered an infant and a small child in cold blood.

8. Isnt Hamas the People? Unfortunately, Its More Complicated

“Hamas is not the people” – that sounds reassuring, but it is often self-deception. Decades of indoctrination from a regime that carries on the intellectual legacy of the Nazis have worked.

Even small children rehearse in school plays how to murder Jews or blow themselves up.

The cheering over the October 7 massacre was no accident. The population looked the other way – or enthusiastically took part in the killings. Gaza needs more than food. It needs liberation. Detoxification. A political de-Nazification – like Germany after 1945.

9. The Arab World Does Not Help – And No One Asks Why

While Israel is pressured and expected to act morally, Egypt, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, and others remain conspicuously silent. No uprising against Hamas.

No acceptance of refugees. No genuine initiatives for pacification. Arab solidarity stops at the (well-guarded) Egyptian border. Because they know exactly who they are dealing with: Hamas. But the West prefers to keep an eye on Israel rather than step on the toes of its own “partners.”

10. Muslim Victims Only Matter When Israel Is Involved

Millions of Muslims have been killed – in Syria, Iraq, Iran, Yemen, Nigeria, Afghanistan, Myanmar, and China. But no demonstrations. No open letters. No boycotts. No hashtags.

Only when Jews are involved – as defenders of their own state – does it become a global scandal. This selective outrage exposes itself: It is not about human rights. It is about Israel.
