Walkie-talkies and pagers remotely detonated, targeted strikes eliminating terror leaders using geolocation, and infiltrators carrying out operations deep inside Iran\u2014modern technology plays a key role in Israel<\/b>\u2019s war against terror.<\/b><\/p>\n
In September 2024, Israel\u2019s intelligence agency Mossad conducted a widespread operation against Hezbollah in Lebanon, detonating thousands of pagers and walkie-talkies remotely. The attacks targeted the group\u2019s communication system and those carrying them. The operation was a part of an escalating conflict in which Israel eliminated several of Hizbollah\u2019s leaders\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Former intelligence agents later revealed that Hezbollah had unknowingly used Israeli-made, explosive-rigged devices for ten years before they were detonated.<\/p>\n On September 17, thousands of pagers exploded simultaneously across Lebanon, specially in Hizbollah-dense areas; and the following day, walkie-talkies detonated in a similar manner. Hezbollah had purchased over 16,000 devices from a front company at a low price.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Ten days later, Hezbollah<\/strong> leader Hassan Nasrallah was killed in an Israeli airstrike on Beirut targeting the group\u2019s underground headquarters. His death created a leadership crisis for both Hezbollah and Iran that finances, arms and trains the terror organisation, deeply rooted in the same ideology and that swears allegiance to Irans supreme leader\u2014a loyalty deeper than to Lebanon itself. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n On October 16, 2024, Israel eliminated Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar in Rafah following a chance encounter.
